Laura Plancarte

Laura Plancarte lives and works in London making films and visual arts. In 2006 and 2007 she was awarded a grant from BNP Paribas in recognition to her career as an artist. In 2015 she presented her first feature film TIERRA CALIENTE produced by Mike Lerner, at Guadalajara’s International Film Festival competing for the Mezcal award and won best feature film at World of Film International Festival in Glasgow. HERMANOS her second feature documentary was acquired by Amazon Prime and won the audience award to best documentary at SAFILM 2018 and best documentary at Indie & Foreign Film Festival, NY, at WoFF in Glasgow and an IMPACT Doc award in the USA. NON Western is her third feature documentary.

Franklin Dow

In 2005 he graduated with a first class honours in Cinematography from the Art Institute in Bournemouth. Since then he has crafted a uniquely portfolio of work across feature-documentary and drama. Franklin’s work has been screened at film festivals across the world and he’s won a myriad of prestigious awards including the 2015 Primetime EMMY for his work on the Oscar and BAFTA nominated feature documentary, Virunga. To date Franklin has shot in 40 countries across 6 continents, from Afghanistan to Zimbabwe gathering a breadth of experience that continues to inspire his work.

Vera Simmonds

Vera has a Masters in Editing from the National Film and Television School, and short films that she has edited have been selected for festivals, including Cannes Film Festival, Annecy Animation Festival, Sheffield Doc Fest, London Short Film Festival and East End Film Festival. The Bigger Picture has enjoyed much festival success and been nominated for an OSCAR, as well as winning the 2015 BAFTA for Best Short Animation.
